Practice makes perfect, right?
Only practicing perfect makes perfect.
Real eyes – realize – we’re always practicing something.
That’s where mindfulness – awareness of what we’re practicing – thinking and doing – comes in.
Be aware – beware – of what you’re habitually practicing and thinking.
How’s that working for you? Would it work better if you chose to shift your thinking, identify and let go of what’s not working and started practicing kindness, forgiveness and compassion, especially for yourself?
Mindfulness and choosing to shift are mental, emotional and spiritual muscle. Can’t do it once and be done. But like building muscle, the more practice, the stronger.
And no punishment, no beating yourself up! When you find you haven’t been mindful, no judgment. Just, OK, that’s not what I want, go on and move forward.
